Buffalo Soldiers

During a time in history when African - American soldiers were called upon to serve the United States Army, a proud and fierce military profile emerged. Named Buffalo Soldiers by Native Americans because of their fierce nature and the similarity in texture of their hair to that of the plains buffalo, these soldiers were respected throughout the west.  They served in campaigns that shaped the American west in the 9th and 10th Cavalry of the United States Military.

Buffalo Soldier imagery is highly prized and collected by military and non-military art collectors.  Among the best and most accurate of the artists portraying these proud legends  Are Lee Brubaker, Don Stivers and Robert Summers.  We invite you to explore the internet to discover the broad range of renditions and historical accounts. Here we offer you an opportunity to collect a few of the more highly prized pieces in our Consignment Collection.
